This series just gets better and better.

The book starts where the first book left off. She is flying over the Green in the aircraft she has no idea how to land or even steer. Once she figures out how to steer the flying motorcycle she ends up crashing into a tree.

Violet goes on a journey like no other trying to find her way to the mines to find her brother. She is fighting for her life after being bitten by a centipede. Since pretty much everything in the Green is dangerous she is trying to stay alive. She had decided to head back to Matrus after being bitten and she is going to offer the egg in exchange for them to help her.

Viggo does not want to believe what he is being told about Violet but he knew it was true. He is sent on an assignment by the King to go and find her. He goes to her husband’s house and looks on the computer to see if he can pull up the tracker. He finds her in the Green and can’t figure out why she would be there of all places. He sets out to find her.

Once he gets to the Green he sees she is on a direct path south. He knows something must be up if she is on that path. He decides to intercept her on her way. He hates the feelings he has. Not only is he upset, but he also has feelings for her and that is not making him very happy at the moment.

When Viggo finds her she is in bad shape. He works on getting her better. They go on an adventure in the Green, some of it dangerous. When they run across a white building. The same one Violet saw in the sky. They could not believe there was a building there and trying to get away from the red flies before they are drained dry. Viggo tries to give himself up to the flies so Violet can get to safety, but she is not going to let him die.

They get into the building and get it sealed off and all of the flies killed. Violet is looking for something to help her companions. Viggo is not in good shape and her old instructor is in worse shape. She decides to go explore the building to see what she finds. It looks like a lab of some sort but she is not sure which side it belongs too.

She is able to help Viggo and they get her old instructor to a bed and tie her up so she can’t escape if she was to wake up while they are exploring. The further down they go in the building the more questions they have.

There are a lot of secrets in this building and a lot of action happens in there as well. Some will bring tears to your eyes. And the end does leave you with a bit of a cliff hanger that will leave you wondering what is going to happen next. I don’t want to go into detail on the rest of the book because you have to read it to really be able to enjoy it. It is packed full of adventure and trials that they have to go through to get to where they are at the end.

Does Violet find her brother? That is a question that will be answered in this book.
