my-thoughts

This is such a good book and poor Max fought the good fight. He knew his dad and uncle were up to something he just couldn’t figure out what. He evaded every attempt to get him married off. It took hitting a woman with a car to turn his world around.

Cassie had been trying to get an interview from Max for weeks. She had called his office a number of times and he never called him back. She wanted to get an interview from him because he rarely did them and she knew it would be her ticket to get her dream job.

One afternoon she was walking and the next thing she knew she was waking up at the hospital after being in a coma. When she found out what had happened and who hit her, she realized he was trying to buy his way out of being sued. She didn’t want his money she wanted the interview.

She told him as much and told him instead of following him for a day she wanted a month. He didn’t like the idea and especially didn’t like the idea that she was blackmailing him to get her interview. But, she intrigued him and he wanted to get to know her more so he agreed.

The more time they spent together the higher the sexual tension grew. They fought it until they ran out of fight, and being snowed in a cabin didn’t help matters either. They got to know each other a little better in that cabin and she fell even more in love with him.

After they got back from Alaska things went back to the way they were. She was fighting showing how she felt and he pulled away a little scared of the feelings he was feeling. She got hurt on a building site he asked her to come to, after they left the hospital he took her home to take care of her. She didn’t like it because she was trying to distance herself from him because she knew her month was coming to a close and it was taking all she had to keep her feelings inside.

He didn’t want to let her go. He loved making love to her every night and waking up to her every morning. They went to his uncles party for his aunt and she knew she needed to leave to go home that night. It was going to tear her heart out but she needed to do it. He was going to take her home and when he got called away by his brother she snuck out and left.

A few days later, no calls or message, or appearances at her door had her feeling even worse but she had to go and show him what the article was going to be about. Instead of telling him how she really felt she let him think that she got what she wanted and that was that. He was hurt and she was shattered. He had come to the conclusion that he loved her but instead of telling her he told her to get out.

Instead of telling you the ending I am going to leave u with that. I want you to find out for yourself how it ends. But, I can say this Joseph and George were a little sad that they could not take credit for Cassie and Max meeting. So they decided to work on the next one.

Thanks for reading my review. Would love to hear from you.

Until Next Time: Happy Reading.
