Damien Whitfield lost his father when he was an infant, and then lost his mother when he was a young teenager. The only thing his mother left him was a thirst for vengeance. On her deathbed she made him promise to seek revenge for those she held responsible for her death.

Damien grows up fast and conquers the business world, going from a homeless boy to a billionaire bachelor. He has no time for love in his quest for righting wrongs of the past. What he doesn’t know is that love isn’t something he can hide from.

Sierra grew up with a monster of a father after losing her mother at the tender age of six. Her dad punishes her for sins he assumes his deceased wife made against him. Finally, her father does a business deal with Damien Whitfield, selling Sierra to the highest bidder.

Damien and Sierra may both be running from old demon’s and forging ahead to what they think are their perfect futures, but fate has a way of changing everything. Take the journey with Damien and Sierra as they fight a passion that won’t be denied.

This book is not for the faint at heart. Damien is so consumed with revenge that he actually buys the daughter of a man who does not deserve to live, but in doing so he saved Sierra’s life. He also saved his own, thought he would not find that out for a while. He had lived with vengeance for too long. The only thing that helped him throughout his years was his best friend Trinity. She kept the demons at bay, but as she got married and started her own family he was spending less and less time with her.

Sierra intrigued him from the first moment he laid eyes on her picture, made even more so when he met her in person. Though he thought at first that she was a spoiled socialite he was more wrong that he ever knew. When he took her to Australia on a business trip he saw that she was not the person she was portrayed to be.

As time went on they got close and she started falling in love with him. He told her his plans for revenge and she didn’t know what to do since part of that revenge was on her best friend and her family. She could not understand what he was saying since the people she knew were nothing like the people he was saying they were.

After she could not hold it in any longer and told her best friend what he was planning, she got her family involved, since they had been looking for him for years. He didn’t want to hear what they had to say. He was also hurt over Sierra’s betrayal. He left and didn’t look back.

After a while Sierra was so hurt over Damien but she vowed to get over him. She went to her father’s house to get some things her mother had given her and since he was not home she figured it was the perfect time. She was wrong, She tried  to run away and he kicked her and made her fall down the stairs. Hurting her badly.

Bree went to Damien’s place and chewed him out telling him about what happened to Sierra but that she is to heartbroken to even try to get better. Damien was so upset about her getting hurt, and he was having a hard time trying to figure out how someone who was supposed to be so horrible could care so much.

When he saw Sierra he wanted to kill her father. He talked to her for just a few moments then Bree’s family came in and they gave Damien a toy from his childhood. He told them he was not ready yet and they told him to take his time but to at least give them a chance. Sierra told him that he needed to get to know his new family better and work on himself before they tried anything.

He did as she was told and he vowed to not let her go this time. He proposed to her at one if his uncle’s parties and she agreed.

They had a wedding a year later on a secluded beach. They were more in love everyday.
