This was an awesome book. I loved Crew and Haley. I know I will continue to be able to get to know them through the rest of the books and looking forward to getting to know the rest of Crew’s siblings. I know I will love them just as much as I loved the Anderson’s.
In this book we get introduced to Richard and his five kids. He has found out that he has cancer and only has about three years to live but he doesn’t tell his kids this. They are spoiled and entitled so he is looking to make a change for them before he leaves this earth. He tells them he has cut off their inheritance and their trust funds and their credit cards have been cancelled.
They are outraged, but he tells them they have a way of getting it all back if they follow is rules. He sold the company one of his son’s was looking to take over, but he was just sitting back waiting on his time not showing any interest so he sold it and is moving. His son is not happy about that.
He tells them he has bought a failing company in Seattle and going to turn it around and that gave him an idea for the rest of them. He has purchased five more failing companies and he will give them some money to turn them around and sell for a profit. If they can do this then he will reinstate their trust funds and their inheritance. They don’t like it but they don’t have any other choice.
He lays the five folders down on the table and tells them to fight over the ones they want and to come and see him when they are done. Then he leaves the room. At first none of the kids moved but they each took a folder.
That lead Crew to his run down resort that has been closed for a long time. He made it beautiful and was admiring it when he was approached by a woman wanting him to teach her how to seduce a man. She said she was in love with someone but was too afraid to approach him and he didn’t seem to know she existed.
He was thrown for a loop, this lady must be crazy, he turns her down, but didn’t know she had won a two free week stay at the resort, so later that evening when he saw her with the piano player in their jazz bar, he confronted her.When he took her in his office after they talked he decided to help her find herself, that she didn’t need to change who she was.
They continued to get close and the more time they spent with each other the more they fell for each other. When it was close to her time being up he asked her to move her stuff in his room. He already knew he was not going to be able to let her go. She reluctantly agreed. When her time was up he asked her to stay since she didn’t have anything to get back to right then. She agreed because she was falling for him and didn’t want to leave him.
When his dad showed up with two other men that looked just like him he was floored. He found out his dad was a triplet who was stolen at birth. He had a lot more family to get to know. Haley also fell in love with the three men. Come to find out it was Crew’s dad who rigged the contest to get her to the island. Crew and Haley doesn’t know that but Haley did tell Crew that it was his dad who had given her the tickets that won the trip.
When he told her the resort has sold he was going to ask her to come with him on his next adventure and ask her to marry him but when he told her she seduced him before he could and when he woke up she was gone.
